We hold public star parties at our main observing site, Stockport Observatory, in February, May, August and November. In addition to the quarterly star parties, we hold regular monthly public viewing nights in the metropolitan area at The Heights Observatory and at other locations around South Australia throughout the year. Public star nights are held the third Friday of each month (except July, when we are closed for annual maintenance). No reservations are necessary for these nights.

Private Events The BSU Observatory hosts private viewing events for groups of 25 or more people on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays during the Fall and Spring semesters. Located on the south slope of Mount Hollywood in Griffith Park, the Observatory is literally in the center of metropolitan Los Angeles. While public transportation is the easiest way to visit, you may also walk, bike, drive, or take a shared-ride service up to the Observatory.
